It's not an either or decision. One can do both.

lol what this is just 175 million dollar charity donation its not a 10b+ project to guarantee jobs to blacks.
Because the CEO is Indian.
I'm not sure why you're being downvoted. I feel the same way about h1b visas. I wish instead of importing cheap labor we spent extra money and trained people in the African American community that don't have as many opportunities.
- How much did america gain from colonial behavior done in India. Remember capital flows, India --> Colonial UK --> 13 Colonies -> Infrastructure

Not saying your wrong, but your point just comes to "who got screwed over more" it's not productive to have that debate, because you might ask well Fly Down To the Worst Third World Countries who were hurt most by America, or prior colonialist

> Remember capital flows, India --> Colonial UK --> 13 Colonies -> Infrastructure

Given that the Battle of Plassey, establishing the first UK colony in India, happened in 1757, this flow of funds from the British Raj to the 13 colonies seems unlikely.

Battle of plassey 1757 US independence 1776

study capital flows, it's not that simple. Wealth and investments crossed borders in the 1700s

There actually are serious problems in India that aren't self inflicted.
"Why not invest in space ?" "Why not invest in healthcare ?" "Why not...."

Such a tired line of thinking. And in Google's case it invests in most major causes.

why pay more for something they can pay a 1/16th to?
