No one is disputing that "they have the absolute right to create drivers that only work with their products in order to assure quality, performance and function." - that's a given. Would you say that they also have "the absolute right to create drivers that sabotage counterfeits of their products"? That's a different argument. You could argue that they should have the right given that (elsewhere you have argued) their governments have abrogated their responsibility to protect their IP. And that would be an interesting and compelling argument. But it's entirely different to "[having] the absolute right to create drivers that only work with their products in order to assure quality, performance and function." - and it would be disingenuous to keep arguing that. |
