That's just an opinion piece. The author assumes statues promote racism and racial supremacy without actually posting evidence of it. Have any KKK or black panther meetings been held at those statues?

Quite the contrary, some have been taken down since inanimate objects can't fight back. It's an insult to all black people who do follow the law, who do follow custom, and are integrated in society. These works of art remind us what times were and what times are now - how far we've gone together. Daesh also took down monuments to raise controversy.
