I get what you're saying and it makes sense to me. > unit tests depending on change-prone internal APIs This in particular is worth highlighting. I tend to now write unit tests for things that are getting data from one place and passing it another, unless the code is complex enough that I'm worried it might not work or will be hard to maintain. And generally, I try to break out the testable part to a separate function (so it's get data + manipulate (testable) + pass data). |
