Have many tabs open? Try Hare – Tab manager for browsers

Hi Guys,

Really excited to share with you guys an extension I created for my worst nightmare, tabs clutter!

This is an extension of your productivity of using browser.

When we have many tabs open and are confused about which window's tab is it already open, we go ahead and create a new tab with the exact same content. This makes your browsing experience too cluttered and less productive.

Hare makes it faster for you to jump on any tab, you have open, by doing a fuzzy search on factors like URL, title, etc. When you are all done with your tabs, you can have a nice interface for them to close it at once based on your fuzzy search.

Features: — Fuzzy search on your tabs. Title or URL of the website. — Action to close multiple tabs at once while doing a fuzzy search. — Use Keyboard shortcuts to navigate quickly through the features.

For any bugs, queries, feature request or any feedback, you are always welcome to mail me at 29hdkjain@gmail.com

Roadmap: 1) Add history and bookmarks search. 2) Action which lets you search the same way you would do on the browser address bar so you never have to click on the address bar all your browsing experience through hare! And many more....

If you have too many open tabs - that means you hardly use bookmarks and don't use the history.

There are some extensions which would let you prevent garbage entries (like countless GMail, HN main page etc duplicates) from appearing in your history (by means of auto-deleting them as soon as they get there or just by showing you a filtered version of the history). Using such practically turns yout history into an endless resource-safe tabs list.

There also is TidyTab Chrome extension (what's the Firefox alternative, by the way?) which would let you bulk-bookmark and close the open tabs.

Awesome! Being able to search through your tabs is such a powerful ability!

Some time ago I made a small Chrome extension, see https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tab-switch/jibghim..., for this myself.

I love how you're building this into a cross browser, fully featured product with nice looking UI!

Glad you liked it! Appreciate it!
Nice work, I kind of like the simplicity.

Vimium (the browser extension) has had this exact feature, for almost 10 years (shift+t).

I suppose if software solutions just aren't discover-able, then people will unknowingly recreate them... which isn't necessarily a bad thing... it's just interesting to see people come to the same conclusions.
