some companies could choose to make their product shittier, others could choose to pick a more expensive/efficient power supply and improve device design. Have you ever heard of delta electronics? They manufacture 90% of power supplies on the planet and their CEO is a huge environmentalist. They have a philosophy of improving efficient for the hell of it, because a 1% improvement in their efficiency = thousands of megawatts saved due to their sheer volume. |
