This is pretty insightful, the part about hyperinflation vs confidence. I'm not a BitCoin supporter, but I still think you are wrong on this count. Confidence depends on perceptions. Nothing can command confidence consistently if the underlying economy is bad or broken. In the case of BitCoins, not being able to artificially increase the supply is a virtue. (ps I'm not a supporter because bankers always figure out a way around limited supply of a precious commodity). |
