It's important to keep that in mind re: improvements in inequality, but at the same time, for example, there is a refugee crisis that's been steadily increasing over time worldwide in recent times. GDP per capita is not the only metric of inequality, nor is China the only exception to the US. I basically agree with everything you're saying, I just think something is going on that's not nearly captured by a lot of traditional metrics. |
