You basically don’t have a pancreas with type 1. These people still had beta cell function, which most type 1s don’t have. It was 3 subjects and limited time. Large scale long term studies would be helpful. Plus they got diagnosed is late 30s/early 40s. This sounds more like insulin dependent type 2. It would make sense that the diet could work in this case. |
