A curious thought experiment here is: what would the situation be in the case of a hypothetical third-party app that provided access to your Hey email? (I mean via some API that Hey offered - I think they don't actually offer one, but it's a hypothetical.) You would obviously still need a paid Hey account to use such an app, but there would be no way for the app's providers to enable you to sign up for one using Apple IAP. What then? |
