I used to tell my customers that most custom web sites are expensive to create and it's unlikely for them to recoup their cost. Most customers would back out and a few would actually move forward. I felt it was the only way to proceed. I found out later that many of the customers that backed out would go somewhere else to get the work done and most were happy with what they paid for. I decided to change my approach. Now I give, as close as possible, an estimate, where I make sure to be as accurate as possible, and let them decide for themselves, if it's worth the cost. Each customer has their reasons why they do what they do. I don't have all the answers. |
