Wow it's been a while since I've read about PLATO. Thank you for the reminder. Another example of how so much that's cool in computing has its roots in systems of the past (the mother of all demos, neural nets, LOGO (Mindstorms), etc.).

My ideas aren't novel, but every decade we try again and hope all the pieces are in place to start something which grows and thrives.

Assuming you're not talking about the ancient philosopher, I'd like to know what you're referencing. Searching for "PLATO education" isn't finding something beyond the expected.
