I don't think that's good or fair, but it is the current state of the world. If you want to continue the analogy: my argument is akin to telling someone trying to lose weight to research the most bioavailable supplements -- despite the fact they still eat a Snickers bar every afternoon. It's a micro-optimization that has been elevated to "table-stakes". |
