As a manager for a small team myself, I think an important part of the job is to making sure that no one person on that team is irreplaceable -- including yourself. Vacations are an incredible forcing function for proper documentation, backups, knowledge, whatever. If there's _anyone_ on the team who can't be 100% offline for a week, that's a problem. |
