> even totalitarian to me - managers cannot disagree with each other in front of other employees, a manager cannot criticize management actions/decisions. Management is to some degree there to represent the company's position on a matter, and if there is substantial differences between the managers someone isn't doing their job. A manager can disagree, but there is an expectation of a united front on "this is what the company is doing" when passing on management decisions to employees. The trick isn't to be insincere about what you think; just be clear that a manager's job at a company isn't about the managers ego and personal opinions. |
