From what I understand, this will differ greatly depending on your location / the local culture & norms. In some cultures, dissenting against authority, even local management authority, could be a major faux pas. In others its to be expected, so your mileage may vary. Overall though it sounds like your team(s) and org aren't offering a psychologically safe environment. I would suggest investigating the concept of psychological safety in teams and the workplace, how to implement it and from there make a plan of how to introduce and influence the adoption of the concept in the teams you have influence on. |
