Yes, this was overly brief and a tilde is not enough to qualify this statement, and I should have said noon equatorial sun. My point here was meant to be about how this is essentially the daily maximum dose from UV radiation due to the isomerization of previtamin D into inactive isomers, and to give context to a dose of 10,000 IU D3 seeming large when it is half the amount a person might receive from sun exposure. |
