> It's something that I would have thought would only be seen by a dictator in the developing world, not in one of the most advanced cities in the world. People said the exact same thing about the Holocaust. How could such a modern, enlightened country like Germany kill six million Jewish people? We like to believe that the trappings of modern society are an innoculation against tyranny, but they are not and have never been. |
