I was taught to make the sound as (1) make a long “e” (as in leek) shape with your mouth, (2) pronounce the “e”, (3) leaving the tongue and rear part of the mouth in place, change the position of the lips to make the shape of “o” as in “oh”. This configuration doesn’t exist in normal English, but it’s not too far away! Once you know what it’s supposed to sound like, the next trick is combining it with consonants. |
