Personal experience tells me that it's most likely not true. I have seen a great deal of the food that we cooked in federal prison. I'd label the beverages like fruit juice being enriched as a "maybe". We typically had lower quality of the same food stuffs you'd buy at the grocers. Protein/canned vegetables/"fresh" fruit/rice. |
