We used his book then too, at Drexel in Philadelphia. Our prof at the time invited Dr Strang to guest lecture one time and I remember it being so clear and obvious as he talked that I thought “wow this is why an MIT education is so revered”. I waited after the lecture to personally thank him and have him autograph the textbook; very glad I did in retrospect. |
