Consider chilling out on this a bit... There's a huge difference between a fireplace and a modern high-efficiency wood stove or pellet stove. The latter produces mostly CO2 and H2O, with far less particulate. Look at the chimney of one while running at operating temperature and it will be clear (no smoke). Furthermore, not everyone can afford other options. It's just the way it is. I'd love to cover my roof in photovoltaic panels and get an electric car, but I'm too poor. Maybe in 15 years, if I keep savings like I have. |
