for now i just blocked it on the pi-hole, wildcard blocking:

  googlevideo.com
  ytimg.com
  youtube.com
  youtube-ui.l.google.com
  ytimg.l.google.com
  ytstatic.l.google.com
  googleapis.com

and it works fine
