I'm not sure where you are that gets a meter of snow and ice. Bike lanes are perfectly usable up here around the UK, Belgium, Holland and France all of the year, just a few puddles to dodge in winter. The majority of risky cycling here comes riding during rush hour in heavy traffic. Cycle lanes are a great investment IMHO. |
