So what? Did you ever look at a production codebase? You will be hard pressed to find an idiomatic codebase and nobody in the world is going to update anything to be "idiomatic" every 6 weeks. I mean maybe your manager doesn't fire you right away if you try, but you better be doing this in your spare time lol. For academic and self-learning use? Sure go ahead, but then please don't complain that you can't keep up with it. Nobody should be using a feature for the sake of using a feature. If you don't need it, don't use it. If its old and not "idiomatic" there is literally ZERO reason to change it unless you ain't got anything better to do. Get your priorities straight. |
