Awesome! Computational photography is fascinating. A while back, I wrote some OpenGL shaders to do the same thing, and got stuck when I wanted variable bokeh based on scene depth. This is easy when you have the depth map (say, in a renderer). I recall reading about how Apple achieved this using stereo disparity mapping, which is great if you have the hardware.
