I have been wondering: Isn't this (likely) downturn a chance? Don't we need to rebuild our economies anyway given climate change? Maybe it is a good thing that airlines are going away because you shouldn't be able to fly from Paris to New York for 400€. It seems that we now have a chance to build something new so instead of rescuing these companies we should let them shrink and support former employees to transition to less carbon intensive sectors. |
