It could simply be that the test will not work until several days have passed. To get a test with such a fast result, trade-offs elsewhere probably need to be made. Even South Kora required symptoms for free testing. Else it cost about $140 as I recall. That would certainly motivate me to wait a bit to watch symptoms. A fever should mean staying at home, no matter what the cause turns out to be. |
