Ask HN: Offering a way to broadly screen patients for Covid
1 points by tekram 2287 days ago
I am one of the founder at Luma Health (a patient communication platform). With the outbreak, we are offering a lot of our services for free (https://www.lumahealth.io/covid-19-patient-messaging) in an effort to get ahead of this disease. One of our offerings is an ability to broadly screen patients to risk stratify who might be at risk for the infection and who might be at risk for bad outcome if they have the infection. Given US health care limited resources, we are desperately in need of a way to proactively identify patients at risk and treat them. We are offering mass SMS based screening to anyone who would like to use including county health officials, health systems, employers, etc. We just want to get this into the hands of anyone who could use. No cost.

Here is a very simple version of what we could do via text: https://youtu.be/escWi-ZuGRo

Also, please help us gather data by texting to the number below. This will deliver you a survey to identify who might be at risk for the infection. The more data we have about this, the more we can try to combat it. Please feel free to share number broadly.

Screening number: 218-402-6843
