I gave up on my parents when they asked me to choose bathroom fittings. I was about 15. I wanted a mixer tap, like the rest of the world has. They said it wasn't traditional. They installed the traditionally British separate "freezing" and "cold then suddenly scalding" taps. (At least they removed the carpet.) |
