This heavily depends on the company culture, tone of the meeting, participants, etc. Basic savoir vivre still applies, interrupting someone to loudly admire a pet (or whatever) would simply be rude. But if the discussion stalls and if it’s not a meeting about personnel reduction, I see no harm in saying that Mr Fluffy Paws looks especially nice today. |
