As I said in a sibling comment, these aren't mutually exclusive. We spend the majority of our lives at work -- spending that alone in my spare room/coffee shop/wherever just sounds like a nightmare long-term. I think as long as humans are social animals, remote working will stay niche and optional at best. |

Maybe eventually people can find a group of friends/acquaintances with which they can also hang out and have a coffee, while each tends to their own work?
