For lecturers the ability to present in an engaging manner is at least as important as understanding the subject.

Imagine how much more efficiently you could absorb new information if you did not put arbitrary barriers on the "engagement" level of the source?

The reality is that you are just being mentally lazy for not accepting new information because it isn't in the most palatable format.

It is juvenile.
