App Store rules / human interface guidelines don't apply to Apple. They believe they (as opposed to 3rd party devs) don't need these restrictions to ship secure, high-quality apps with a great experience. Whether they succeed is debatable, but the reasoning (although perhaps unfair) is understandable. |
