I have personal experience of a few companies in the UK where GCP are offering 90+% discounts to onboard. GCP are spending hundreds of millions to do this. K8S control-planes are a rounding error compared to this. You could have grandfathered in current deployments but - nope. In the tech world this is up there with killing Google Reader. |
