> The problem of consciousness is about understanding systems which feed back into themselves, build a model of themselves, and reason about themselves. The structure underneath is well known, if not perfectly understood. The problem is you could build a system that satisfies each of those states and we still couldn't prove if it had qualia or not. That is literally 'the hard problem'. |
