That's how you turn on DND...

Frustratingly, if you "x" all the notifications, there's still no hint that you can scroll to see night shift & DND toggles.

I still have to think really hard every time I want to move my cursor to the beginning or end of an edit line on OS X.

You can also option+click the notification center icon in the menu bar.

For anyone else who wondered what DND stood for: it's "Do Not Disturb".

Now that I know that, I see there is a subthread about it elsewhere in this HN page - but I couldn't find an expansion when searching either this HN thread or the linked article for the string "DND". Had to go and follow the instructions on a Mac, to find out what it was that lay hidden in the Notifications window.

Really? Cmd left and right are built into my muscle memory at this point. I'm pretty good with vim but not a day goes by that I don't try this by accident and end up in the next terminal over...
