I think that's apt. Authoritarian governments are environments least able to prevent novel problems and least able to react to them with agility, but best able to coordinate state-scale responses. But in this case we'll see. China's problems don't end if they successfully contain the outbreak to Wuhan. Eventually everyone else will get sick too and re-infect the chinese via other roads. |
