Well, High speed trains don't run 300 km/h. At least not in Europe. Most of the time they run slightly above 100 km/h. Source? Experience. We would need a European infrastructure project for: * major new transnational lines * separation from passenger and cargo lines * self coupling/decoupling wagons And when you are on it, build some Thorium reactors to power them.
