How to partner up with big companies when you are a startup?

Hey guys,

We are GiftChat: Venmo with gift cards. It's a new way to send a gift card. All you need is to create a gift post with text and a gift card, and your gift will be delivered immediately in the app and with SMS outside the app, so to receive a gift, you don't have to be in the app.

The question is how to partner up with gift card retailers like Starbucks, Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc? They will benefit from our partnership, but right now, it's really hard to negotiate with them through cold emails.

Maybe we should try to find someone from the staff on Linkedin, and we should try to talk to them?

Or maybe it's best to start in an "old school way" by buying gift cards in bulk and by selling it to our users with no profit just to launch our product?
