That isn't true. Windows does provide something that other platforms don't. The APIs and program compatibility are supported forever in Windows. I can run the original Quake and DOOM on Windows 10 without any problems. A friend of mine like playing GTA 3, it didn't work properly with Windows 8.1. In an update this incompatibility (I forget the exact reason why) was fixed. That just doesn't really happen with Linux. |
