The definition of "idiom" as per the google search is

"a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words (e.g. over the moon, see the light )."

The sentence "speak for yourself" has the meaning that is directly deduced from its words. How does it qualify as an idiom ?
