I have cleared HC for facebook E6 production engineer. Offers
Neither Google or Facebook has given offers yet. My lean
I am leaning towards google to join.
Reasons - Much more diversified portfolio. Better work life balance. No pressure of PIP. Questions
1. How do i leverage the upcoming offers between Facebook and google?, in-order to get best offers at both, more specifically the best offer at Google. 2. When either Facebook or Google is asking about counter offer, should i simply say - "Hey XXX, i have a offer coming up from <rival company>, so can you provide your strongest offer." 3. What if they ask for range. Should i state- "hey i am looking for XXX,xxx$?". Here XXX,xxx$ would be high-end of what i see on levels.fyi OR "Given the knowledge that a counter offer is coming up, please provide the best offer you can." 4. What if they ask for specific for the exact counter offer?. Since i dont have the counter offer, tell them - "Hey, the <rival company> hasn't given the offer yet and they are currently working on their offer. At this point, I am uncomfortable with sharing their offer with you" 5. What if they say - Hey if we give you XXX,xxx dollars , would you accept our offer Potential response - "Hello company, i am waiting on the <rival company> as well, and it would be unfair to them if i said yes here, just like it would be unfair to you if i said yes to them without giving you a chance to speak up" 6. If Facebook gives a bumper offer, would google match it? Assuming that i had good interviews at google and they consider me as a must-hire. 7. With Facebook and Google, can i negotiate full payment of a future part-time/ Exec MBA ?. 8. Ideally, how many times can one go back and forth between these companies to get them to keep raising their offers? 9. With Facebook and googles offers, what’s the limit on the sign-on bonus that I can ask for? |
