Remote will be huge and there is definitely a need for tools to enable remote working and communication.

What exactly is missing from remote working/communication? I honestly can't handle anymore stupid messaging/conferencing systems.
I'm also curious what tooling is missing. Slack, Zoom, and Outlook has covered 100% of our very large (over 1000 employees) remote company's needs.

Seems the issue is more about reducing the number of tools rather than acquiring new ones.

Slack easily replaced by Keybase etc.

For me the killer would be something that makes meetings more efficient via AI.

Exactly, they are stupid. If they worked the experience would be the same as sharing the same space. The tech should be more or less invisible.
Video chat with eye-contact and body language. That's the missing part to create trust in remote work relationships.
