Note that this is the second planet found around Proxima Centauri. The first one is only 1.3 Earth masses and sits 0.05 AU away from the sun, which puts it in the potential habitable zone.

0.05 AU seems dangerously close to the sun?
Not for a tiny, weak star like Proxima Centauri.
