A point I've heard Neil deGrasse Tyson make a few times is that despite the fact that Edwin Hubble was a heinous racist, that should have no bearing on the validity of his scientific contributions. I have a feeling that with sufficient rabble rousing a twitter mob could figure out how to get the name of the space telescope and constant changed. |
