I can point to specific examples of requiring candidates to be politically vetted before hiring: https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2019/11/19/mathematician... You don't have to block science, if you can block the scientist. Also take into account this is an official, open requirement. For something like that to manifest, it has to be preceded by a lot of bias. |
