Identifying the right characteristics in data, and creating properly tagged corpuses of data that correspond with the right characteristics is no less work than writing code. Not to mention manually written algorithms are, in many cases, more accurate than ML heuristics (for a terrible yet relevant example in the finance industry, identifying the correct sum of a set of numbers). |
