My preferred policy would be to repeal Prop 13 entirely and end the mortgage interest deduction. Couple that with a statewide ban on rent control, zoning reform, and greatly increased spending on affordable housing, and we'd be in a much better place. Of course, none of that is going to happen anytime soon… |
