How about a ctrl-g shortcut to cd and exit to the directory on the file/dir highlighted?

EDIT: Found https://dystroy.org/broot/documentation/configuration/ and on macOS the config file is located at ~/Library/Preferences/org.dystroy.broot/conf.toml

So, how should one configure Broot to use a different shortcut to cd to a directory? Still not clear to me
No need to. The Option key is configurable in terminal software.
